What we publish

Blockchain is often described in either hype or jargon. We think it deserves neither. Metadiscover publishes general-interest articles that explain how blockchains work, what the words mean, and how the technology is used, without assuming any technical background.

Our editorial scope covers the whole subject: the fundamentals of blocks and hashes, how networks reach agreement, how wallets and keys work, what smart contracts are, and where the technology is being applied beyond digital currency. We add new articles steadily and update existing ones when the facts change.

We describe and explain. We do not recommend products, rate services, predict prices, or tell readers what to buy. Every article is written to inform, and each one opens with a short summary so you can decide quickly whether it answers your question.

Editorial principles

Independent content. Articles are researched, written, and edited in-house. No sponsor, company, or organisation reviews, approves, or influences what we publish.
Accuracy first. We check technical claims against primary documentation and clearly separate established facts from areas of ongoing debate.
Plain language. We write for people reading in English as a first or second language, define terms the first time they appear, and give the Japanese term where it helps our readers.
Summary first. Every article begins with its key points, followed by a step-by-step explanation and a short list of common questions.
Visible dates and corrections. Each article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. If we correct an error, the updated date changes and the corrected text replaces the original.
No external links. Our articles do not link out to other websites, so nothing on Metadiscover can direct you to a page we do not control.

Who we write for

Our primary readership is in Japan, which is why we often include the Japanese term for a concept alongside the English one and choose examples that are familiar to readers there. The articles are equally useful for anyone, anywhere, who wants a calm and clear explanation of how blockchain technology works.

How the site is funded

Metadiscover has no membership, no subscriptions, and no paywall. Everything we publish is free to read. The site is funded solely by the sale of sponsor placements: each page carries exactly one clearly labelled sponsor placement, which is filled by a separate written agreement with a sponsor and otherwise shows an invitation to contact us.

Sponsors never see articles before publication and have no say over what we cover or how we cover it. We do not run advertising networks, analytics, or tracking scripts, so nothing about your visit is collected or shared. You can read more in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Independence and affiliation

Metadiscover is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to any company, product, brand, network, or organisation that appears in its articles. Product and brand names are used only to identify the subject being explained, and they remain the property of their respective owners.

We do not provide technical support, customer service, consulting, or any financial, legal, or investment service. If you have a question about a specific product, the right place to ask is that product's own official channels.
